The sudden downpour brought relief from the oppressive heat, but also caused significant inconvenience, as water submerged major roads, leaving commuters struggling. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms across several districts.

The downpour resulted in knee-deep water on several roads, with major areas like Atal Path, Karbigahia Station, and R Block severely impacted. In Nehru Nagar, water from overflowing drains entered homes, causing distress to residents.
IMD Weather Alerts for Bihar
The IMD has extended a heavy rainfall alert for Patna and surrounding districts, including Vaishali, Saran, and Katihar. Additionally, a yellow alert has been issued for Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur, Arwal, Jehanabad, Gaya, and several other districts, warning of potential lightning strikes and advising residents to remain cautious.
